EXHAUST SYSTEM COATINGS

BLACK SATIN

Group 1

  • Advanced ceramic reinforced coating, which     withstands 1,000oC.
  • Reduces manifold surface and under-bonnet temperatures.
  • Solvent-based requiring 400oC for full chemical curing.

CERMAKROME

Group 2

  • Metallic ceramic, which withstands 760oC.
  • Best corrosion protection of any exhaust coating.
  • Water-based requiring 260oC for one-hour oven curing temperature cycle.

COLORGUARD

Group 3

  • Original range of coloured coatings.

BASE/TOPCOAT

Groups 4

  • New series of water-based glossy coloured coatings applied on top of ceramic base (MCS).

MCS

Undercoat

  • Water-based insulating coating withstands 1,000oC.
  • Can be sprayed, flowed or brushed.
  • “Undercoat” for coloured topcoats.

TLHB

Internal

  • High heat modified polymer coating.
  • Smooth finish obtained by spraying, flowing or brushing.
  • Used inside exhaust manifolds and exhaust ports.

TLML

  • Extreme pressure bonded dry film lubricant capable of withstanding 350,000 psi.
  • Solvent-based, can be sprayed in very thin films.
  • Reduces friction, galling, scuffing and aids in cooling parts.

TLML2

  • Similar to TLML but has a softer finish for easy burnishing.

TLMB

*

  • High load modified polymer designed to build up piston skirt diameters.
  • Topcoat with TLML, TLML2 or WSX.

WSX

 

  • Tungsten disulfide powder lubricant.
  • Extreme temperature lubricant withstands load to 350,000 psi.
  • Simply buff onto surface requiring lubrication.

TLCL

  • Clear, slick, non-visible coating.

TLTD

*

  • Thermal dispersant coating designed to expedite heat loss from cooling surfaces. Chemical/corrosion resistant, cosmetically appealing finish.

TLLB

  • Oil shedding, thermal barrier with non-stick characteristics.

CBC2

  • Polishes to highly reflective finish. Very tough surface.
