October 2003. Bike restorers - For that authentic original matt
black look have your exhaust systems Camcoated in our BHK finish. Stephen
Gordon of Peebleshire did just that for his Moto Guzzi Le Mans bike (pictured
below) with extremely pleasing results. Harley-Davidson owners -
convert that chrome finish to the right shade of black by having your
exhaust Camcoated. We can coat on top of the existing chrome..
August 2003. A 1300ºC test kiln has been installed to enable us to carry
out very high temperature tests.
August 2003. Please note that we are closed for coating work for the week
commencing Monday September 1st. Goods will be received and enquiries
answered but the workshop will not be staffed. Also no problem with accepting
orders and cheques.
August 2003: Please look at our NEW PRICE LIST on the "Pistons"
and "Engines" pages. We have introduced a discount for coating
pistons. 10% for a quantity of 4 up to 15% for 8. Motorcycle/kart heads
and barrels coating prices are down and there are SPECIAL DEALS for a
complete car cylinder head assembly plus pistons to reduce the cost of
obtaining that extra 5% power. Only £300 + VAT for a typical 4 cylinder
8 valve engine. For that price you get the full 3 coatings on the pistons,
ceramics on the combustion chambers, valve faces and exhaust ports with
lube coatings on the valve stems, springs and inlet ports. To give the
head a pro-look you also get the black TLTD heat shedding coating on the
outside surfaces.
August 2003. FED UP with colour changes on your exhaust pipes? Stainless
steel turning golden and chrome turning blue. Keep that high polish finish
with our Cermakrome finish. Nick Hare of Kent did after several attempts
to keep the stainless system on his Honda CBX shiny bright. It is now
after an internal coating of TLHB and Cermakrome on the outside as pictured
below.
March 2003 - Busy, busy time meeting racers needs and tight timescales!
We manage but the first quarter of the year is a particular strain.
Another very successful Autosport Engineering Show at the NEC bringing
in new UK and export customers, including two potential European Distributors.
The most noticeable change I noticed on the stand this year was the vastly
increased awareness of the benefits of coating exhaust and engine parts
and the new business gained by professional and personal referrals. Here
are some typical written endorsements from our customers:
- Greatly reduced heat in cockpit area of car with ceramic coating
tubular exhaust manifolds (Kevin Law - Orchard Restorations Ltd.)
- Ceramic coating exhaust system inside and out improves appearance and
heat insulation (Chris Fox - Fox Motorsport)
- Cermakromed headers cool down faster which means we can work on engine
sooner without getting burnt. Finish has lasted 3 seasons so far. (Ray
Hauser - Hauser Racing)
- Very satisfied with heat insulation and protection (Georg Plasa - Rennsporttechnik)
- Cermakrome exhaust gives improved looks and increased horsepowe (Chris
Infazon - Moto-Boutique)
- We'll let you know when we strip the engine. Must be a good sign that
we have not had to (Chris Conoley - Cambridge
Motorsport Ltd using TLML)
- Noticeable reduction in heat given off by the manifold (Chris Clarkson
- Uphill Motor Company)
- Dyno results show more consistency in power readings ( Paul Klatkiewicz
- Ducati Technical Services using coated engine parts)
Congratulations also to Ten Kate Honda on winning the 2002 World Supersport
Championship using Camcoated radiators.
We used the Show to bring to market two new coatings developed by Camcoat
from base Tech Line materials.
Q-Coat is a ceramic basecoat thermal barrier for exhaust systems. Trials
have shown very interesting results when used on cast exhaust manifolds. We
have also used Tech Line's new CermaWhite on top to replicate the old
F1 Ferrari exhaust colour with excellent results to date.
W-Coat is a combination of non-stick and thermal dispersant coatings that
give wheels a fantastic finish and are very easy to keep clean - even
the baked on brake pad dust and tyre rubber found on racecars.

10th April. We at Camcoat are proud to add the MG-Lola and Ralliart
Mitsubishi cars to our growing list of prestige exhaust coating applications.
* 20th December. A very happy Christmas and New Year to all our existing
and potential customers.
* 20th December. A new A4 sized brochure has been prepared
for the Autosport Engineering Show at the NEC, Birmingham
during January 10/11th 2002. Copies available from Camcoat on stand E75
or from our Warrington base.
* 19th July. Camcoat congratulate Team Green for their fantastic 5581
mpg at Rockingham Motor Speedway last month.
Camcoat supplied TLML dry film and WSX powder lubricant, TLLB oil shedding,
TLTD thermal dispersant and CBC2 piston crown ceramic coatings to help
improve the efficiency of this vehicle.
* 29th November. Camcoat Performance Coatings have successfully expanded
outside the motorsport market with the application of a very slippery
release coating on food preparation equipment at Grain Health Foods Limited
at their Wellingborough, England facility. A spokesman for Grain Health
Foods, the UK division of the large Australian Sanitarium Health Food
Company, said the coating had successfully overcome their problem of adhesion
to the rolling mill feed funnels and scraper blades and had allowed them
to ramp up to full scale production of their breakfast cereal biscuit.
Further applications of this quick release coating are being pursued with
other companies in the food preparation and general industrial markets.
* 26th July. The new vibratory polisher purchased in April has proven
to be a resounding success as shown by the standard of the ceramic coating
on the exhaust pictured below. In addition to a temperature capability
of 760 degrees C the "Cermakrome" finish is extremely resistant
to corrosion so has potential applications in a wide range of industries.
Parts up to 1.5 m in length can be accomodated in the polisher.
